Lawrence Goodridge, Associate Professor of Animal Science at Colorado State University, will present a talk entitled "Bacteriophages: New Indicators of Microbial Food and Water Quality" on Wednesday, February 24th at 4 pm in room 1135 S. Anthony Hall. Dr. Goodridge is a well-known and well-respected food microbiologist whose research interests include the genetic determinants of antibiotic and sanitizer resistance in bacteria isolated from food production animals, novel diagnostics and methods for minimizing foodborne pathogen contamination, with a specific focus on the development of detection methods and prophylaxis for Escherichia coli O157:H7.
